Nevada County Tech Connection in the News

Nevada County has a lot to offer the technology community. But there are holes, and a new initiative through the Economic Resource Council, funded through a grant by Northern Rural Employment and Training Consortium, is trying to fill them. NC Tech Connection, funded and operated separately from the council, is a new next generation sector partnership, a technology hub, essentially developed to address the issues holding the local industry back.
“We want to support (local businesses) and see what we can do to make it a more organized thing,” said Shavati Karki-Pearl, who initiated the partnership. Karki-Pearl currently serves as the director of Connected Communities Academy, another Economic Resource Council initiative. Karki-Pearl and “business champions” Michael J. Anderson, Jonathan Palmer and James Hipkin have been working together to get the partnership off the ground. Read Full Article.
