Sierra Data Systems (SDS) is seeking a Full Stack Web Developer to join our growing team.

For over ten years our flagship product, DATArrive, has enabled our clients’ mobile workers throughout North America and Europe to perform their jobs more efficiently and effectively. We are a mature company with clients in multiple vertical markets ranging from Construction and Field Services to Transportation and Airline Services. One of our greatest assets is our diverse client base which continually challenges us to improve and refine our product and vision.

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Web Developer who can help shape the next phase of our DATArrive product. Strong HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS skills are a must. Prior experience developing cross-platform JavaScript applications for all major desktop and mobile browsers is also absolutely necessary. Strong Linux server administration skills are also highly valued. Beyond those requirements, the most important consideration is a strong foundation in sound software development practices. Our goal is to produce a clean codebase that is easy to read, understand, modify and test.

Our ideal candidate will keep a close eye on current development trends in order to offer suggestions for new tools and practices relevant to our product. In addition to writing code and automated tests, you will work directly with the team to extend and improve the product as a whole. That may include collaborating with other team members responsible for our API, writing specification documents for proposed features, or working with QA and Support to resolve emerging issues. Prior involvement with Agile/XP teams is a plus as we continue to add structure to our development processes.

This is an on-site position located in Grass Valley, CA. Remote work is possible, but regular time in the office is required. Only candidates local to the area are currently being considered. Relocation support and H-1B visas are not available.
