The Nevada County Economic Resource Council (ERC) invites you to join us for the 2026 Nevada County Economic Summit on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the Grass Valley Veterans Memorial Building.
Celebrating 30 Years of Impact – The 2026 Economic Summit marks the 30th anniversary of the Nevada County Economic Resource Council (ERC).

This year’s Summit will bring together business leaders, community partners, elected officials, entrepreneurs, educators, and changemakers from across Nevada County for an engaging afternoon focused on the future of our local economy. Through thought-provoking discussions, data-driven insights, and valuable networking opportunities, attendees will explore emerging trends and identify opportunities that support a resilient, innovative, and thriving community.
Topics will include workforce development, housing, innovation, investment, regional collaboration, and quality of life—issues that directly impact the economic vitality and long-term success of Nevada County. Together, we will examine challenges, celebrate progress, and inspire action that strengthens our community and economy.
We are pleased to announce that this year’s keynote speaker will be Gurbax Sahota, President and CEO of the California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED). A respected leader in economic development, Sahota is recognized statewide for his expertise in fostering economic growth, supporting businesses, and building strong, sustainable communities. His insights on the future of economic development and rural economies promise to be both inspiring and informative.
This Summit is especially meaningful as the ERC celebrates its 30th anniversary of supporting economic vitality in Nevada County.
