About the Foundation
The Nevada County Economic Resource Council (ERC) Foundation is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation, whose mission is to enhance the ability of the Nevada County Economic Resource Council to provide education and training to local businesses and economic data to members of the general public.

Outreach Activities
The ERC Foundation engages in a variety of outreach activities as a function of its purpose/mission to support local job creation. These activities include the following:
• ERC Web Site. The Foundation maintains the ERC Web site which serves as a detailed source of information for use by existing businesses, local residents, and prospective employers.
• Business Resource Guide. The Foundation maintains the Business Resource Guide, which contains a comprehensive listing of local, State, and Federal business resource contact information. The Guide includes information on permitting, business assistance, business regulations, etc., and is readily available to the general public, both on-line and in printed form and can be found here.
• Nevada County Social and Economic Indicator Report. The Foundation assists the Sierra Economic Development Corporation in the construction of this periodic report. The report provides information on tax collections, trend information on demographic data, industry performance, and various other aspects of the economy of Nevada County. • About Business is a new show on NCTV with News & Information about vital businesses and industries in Nevada County, hosted by NCERC President and CEO Gil Mathew. Video broadcasts may be viewed here.
• Economic Forecast Conference. Each year the Foundation hosts an event that features experts in the field of economics and business, from the Federal, State, and County levels. This event is designed to provide a pulse on the state of the current and future economy. Information on the upcoming Conference can be found here.
• Tour of Nevada County. The Foundation hosts an event that tours and recognizes the economic engine of the community, that is, the product and service export employers. Held on October each year, information on the Tour can be found here.
Tax-Deductible Donations
The ERC Foundation, as a 501(c)3 organization, may accept tax deductible contributions from business and individuals. Donations are encouraged for general support, or can be designated for specific events, activities, or projects. Interested parties may submit donations with accompanying letters of instruction to the following address:

ERC Foundation Board of Directors
The primary role of the Foundation Board of Directors is to maintain a close liaison with the ERC and thereby to establish direction and develop policy for the organization. Its appropriate role is to see the big picture, to develop a long-term vision and short-term strategy.
The ERC Foundation Board is comprised of community volunteers that cross the spectrum of leadership from various industry sectors. The size of the Board is relatively small at present, but could be expanded with the expansion of the activities of the Foundation. Board meetings are held periodically, as required by the bylaws.
